Love the SIN out of somebody!

1 Corinthians 2:4 “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human* wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God”

How do you lead someone to Christ who does not believe? How do you lead someone to Christ who is living an immoral life style? Do we judge them and say they have what they have coming? Certainly not! For by this criteria we would all be sent to Hell because we are all sinners!

We do not lead those unknowing of Christ by words or persuasion. We lead those who don’t know Christ to Him by one thing…LOVE! That’s right, the love of God is the only thing that will change the heart of person. It is because this love is not love like the world knows, it is love that comes from Heaven, it is supernatural and powerful! Our demonstration of God’s power is best exemplified by our actions and words to others.

Some claim Jesus but do not act in the love of God. They say they are Christian yet judge those who are in sin condemning them to Hell. However, God looked down at our sin and did not condemn us as He should have according to the law but acted out of LOVE and sent His pure, holy son to die for our salvation. How dare any one of us ever judge another’s sin, our job is simple, love them as Jesus loves them in Heaven. Jesus said these words to us in Matthew 7: 1 “Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. 3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?

We are ambassadors of Christ and our righteousness was not created by us but Christ. Any person who recieves Christ can walk in His righteousness. If they reject Christ let it not be because we judged them and turned them away from God by our fleshly self righteousness but let us say that we loved them, prayed for them, blessed them even when they cursed us. Love is not selfish but always giving no matter how horrible the response. That is how God loves us, no matter how terrible we are to Him, no matter how much we may reject His love, no matter how much we may sin, He still loves us and wants us to surrender our heart to Him!

LOVE IS THE ANSWER! It is the demonstration of God’s power!

During a crusade to Albania I remember preaching the love of God and hundreds coming to Christ every night wanting this love. You see, we showed our love in demonstration during the day by giving people free food baskets and blessing the poor expecting nothing in return. The only thing my heart desired was that they would come to know Jesus. God sent me to do nothing but GIVE, GIVE, and GIVE! And let me tell you, it is better than any amount of money in the world to see just one person give their heart to Jesus Christ! I remember young men and women telling me they were giving up drugs, alcohol, sex, homosexuality, greed…you name it, they didn’t want it anymore. You see when they understood the real love of Christ, they were fulfilled and the sin left. Sin doesn’t exist where Christ lives! Remember this!

Don’t believe me? Try it! Love someone expecting nothing in return. Pray for them, bless them, give them something they need, give your time, just give them Jesus! They will come to Christ because Christ is real and alive and our actions are the only thing that shows it! SHOW CHRIST TO SOMEONE TODAY!!!

God Bless you today!

As always thanks for sharing a Now and Timely Word from heaven to those of us here on earth!

Happy New Year and God Bless You and Your Family!!

  2. Great message Pastor Aaron. People crave love and who better to give it to them but the Body of Christ. I agree that when you love someone to overflowing, their desire will be to move closer to Christ and give up their sin, however when you judge someone for their sin they dig their heels in and move closer to the sin. Great message.
