Albania Update from the Campaign!

Hey Everyone!  I just wanted to write a quick update and post some pics on what Jesus is doing here in Albania this week.  We will also be posting some more videos so…STAY CONNECTED:)

First of all, we are in a city called Lushnje and it is near the central of Albania.  Albania as been a known Muslim nation for almost 500 years due to the occupation of the Ottoman empire in the 16th century.  The city we are in is NO exception.  What makes what we are doing here so unique is simply this…THIS HAS NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE! – Let me explain:)

We have had tremendous favor from the government and the local mayor has been very gracious to us and has opened up the city square for us to have our meetings and we have invaded this city.  What makes it so unique is that there has never been a concert, play, production or anything of this magnitude in this city – much less a CHRISTIAN event! Praise God for His favor on us!

We are now pressing into turf that has never had the gospel of Jesus Christ presented in the radical, bold way that our team is doing here.  This does come at a cost as we have had much opposition by many people here.  Even while I am preaching, people will scream things against Jesus and for their beliefs in Islam.  Many try to distract, for example, a group of young people (we found out later) were throwing firecrackers right in front of the platform where I was ministering.  When these firecrackers went off they were – LOUD!!!  I thought that maybe it was gun fire.  Can you say DISTRACTION🙂  Another example was of a group of young men in the back of the meeting screaming profanities and yelling against me for speaking of Jesus as the son of God.

As all of this was happening I actually felt fear for the first time in a preaching scenario.  It was unsettling and uneasy but almost in the same moment I had the Holy Spirit speak 2 scriptures to my heart – the first was 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound-mind” and the second was Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also the Greek.”

So as the Holy Spirit spoke these words into my heart, I spoke with greater boldness and Jesus took over and VICTORY was won over the distracting attacks of the enemy.  We have had well over 1,000 declared salvations in 2 nights and tonight will be the BIGGEST!  We are in a town that has not had the gospel like this ever…but we are taking back what the enemy has stolen!

I LOVE being used of God on the front lines and roaring like a lion right back in the devil’s face!  Pray for me, the entire team and the Albanian pastors who have a far longer and greater call here than us!

What an honor it is to serve the LIVING GOD – His name is JESUS! Hallelujah!

Please share this with as many people as possible and also share your comments to encourage me and the whole team!

We love you!

In Jesus,

Pastor Aaron

  1. If God is with us who then can be against us. Praying for you brother and those that are with you doing a great thing for His kingdom. Just like your dad has always said it is darkest right before dawn
