Be Fearless

There is a power available to us that is greater than all fear! Do you know what it is? LOVE! Yes love…and not sensual love as the world would suggest, Godly agape love!

1 John 4:18-19 says this “Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. 19 We love each other because he loved us first.”

One of the greatest things plaguing our culture is lack of love for one another. The lack of compassion for those less fortunate than us, the lack of consideration for those in need and the selfishness of the flesh that every human battles.

If you ask any person what they fear, they will come up with something. They may say they battle the fear of rejection, death, spiders, public speaking, burglars, stock market crash, government failing or a list of probably a billion other things I could never think of:)

How do we combat this fear? How do we walk in faith? I believe the first step is remembering that our life is not our own but it has been bought with a price by Jesus. Knowing that He loves us and is directing all things for our life can refocus us in a way that the world can never do.

Most of our selfishness is actually rooted in fear. If we fear not having money, we will never give any away. If we fear rejection, we will not open our hearts to people in love. If we fear death, we may isolate ourself and not take any risk to help another person.

There is a love from God that is more powerful than any force of fear in this world. This love is more real than any fear the devil can attempt to throw our way. An encouraging word (and one of my favorite scriptures) is 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

Fear is a spiritual battle! It is a war waged by the enemy to attempt to destroy, paralyze and hinder the moving of God’s spirit on the face of the earth. However, it is a spirit, a spirit that we have authority through the power of Jesus Christ. Jesus has given us power of this spirit through His love! When we receive His love, we can access an understanding that was unavailable to us prior. His love declares the truth of His word to EVERY situation. It speaks faith over fear and causes chains to be destroyed (John 8) – WE ARE FREE IN JESUS!

How incredible it is to think that we all were in bondage to the death of the enemy but through the power of Jesus Christ we have victory, WE HAVE ETERNAL LOVE!

God is Love! Love God – Love People! Love casts out fear! A love filled life connects us to a fearless life! Awesome!

If you are battling fear of any sort right now, I challenge you to speak these scriptures and then pray for a supernatural revelation to come over you and break that spirit off of you! You are FREE in Jesus name! AMEN!

We CAN Lead Anyone to Jesus…Don’t be Scared…

Have you ever thought that there are people in the world that are impossible to reach with the gospel of Jesus?

Look at the truth of the Bible in Romans 1:19 “They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. 20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. 21 Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused.”

God clearly shows us that ALL people anywhere on planet earth have encountered Him! They have seen His creation, they have seen His power, they have witnessed the reality of a LIVING GOD!

Jesus teaches that when we have an understanding of Him it is like having light in the darkness. Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”

Look at Luke 1:79 “to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace.”

We are all in darkness until the light of Jesus is given to make the mystery known to us and our hearts. Have you heard the expression, “what is the meaning of life?” or “why do we exsist?”

These are the normal longing and cry of every human being’s heart, to know their creator. Many religions have been birthed out of this pursuit. Many billions of followers have been caught in this pursuit to the point that Christians may at times feel hopeless in trying to reach them with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Let us not forget Romans 1:21 that says “…as a result, their minds became dark and confused.”

Just because people have followed a certain belief their whole life doesn’t mean in anyway, shape or form that they will not recieve Jesus. In fact, I think it is the total opposite. I have found that people of other faiths are easier to win to Jesus than even Atheists at times as they are already pursuing and seeking spiritual truth. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. So those seeking truth will know it when they see it!

Jesus therefore needs YOU and me to be vessels to speak and show His truth on the face of the earth. He will do this through His signs, wonders and miracles. When these miracles are shown and the truth is spoken, it doesn’t matter what your past belief system has been…TRUTH HAS SPOKEN!

That’s the thing about truth…it’s UNDENIABLE! How incredible Jesus is and how powerful is His love for ALL mankind of all faiths. So let us not sit back feel like certain people or cultures are a “lost cause”, let us fearlessly engage them and show the undeniable truth that is JESUS and the light will draw them out of darkenss!
