Do You Want A Miracle?

moses-holding-up-his-arms-during-the-battleOne thing that many Christians battle with is the idea that God’s power is diminishing or even non-existent in our world today.  This feeling can circulate doubt and fear causing a Christian not to walk in the victory that is our inheritance from Jesus but to walk in a cycle of defeat and anxiety.

There is good news, God’s power is as real today as it has ever been!  Think about this, the same God that created the universe, parted the Red Sea, brought the dead to life and healed the sick is the same God that lives in us right now.  The Bible says in Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”   This means that He hasn’t changed, He is alive and is ready to deliver us out of whatever situation we may be facing!

God is a supernatural God.  What does supernatural mean? – “The forces beyond scientific understanding or the laws of nature.”  This means that the very essence of God is to actually operate outside of the laws of earthly nature in order to perform miracles in your life.  He is ready and longing to do things that we can’t.  He is available when we ask and goes even beyond our understanding.  Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”

So if we aren’t seeing miracles we understand that it is not a “God problem” but a “doubt problem”.  Doubt is seed of fear and the counter to faith.  If doubt is in operation, faith is not.  The result of doubt in God is: fear, anxiety and oppression of the enemy.  But God didn’t give us doubt and fear, He has given us the power to believe for more.  2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and a sound mind.”

I am reminded of the children of Israel having fear when facing the Amalekites. This army was stronger than them, more equipped and ready to tear them apart.  As Moses prayed God showed him to raise his arms and the enemy would be defeated, and they were.  I love the passage in Exodus 17:14-16 “14 After the victory, the Lord instructed Moses, “Write this down on a scroll as a permanent reminder, and read it aloud to Joshua: I will erase the memory of Amalek from under heaven.” 15 Moses built an altar there and named it Yahweh-nissi (which means “the Lord is my banner”). 16 He said, “They have raised their fist against the Lord’s throne, so now* the Lord will be at war with Amalek generation after generation.”

God is our banner of victory!  Moses built the altar so we would never forget that God fights on our behalf and intercedes with victory when we need it.  What are the things that you need God to do your life?  Have you ever had doubt that He couldn’t or wouldn’t do them for some reason?  Let me assure you, He is Yahweh-nissi, your banner of victory, and even if you see the enemy rising against you in a seemingly unstoppable way, He we will fight for you SUPERNATURALLY!  Hallelujah!

Be encouraged today and know that you serve a mighty, powerfully, unstoppable God that fights on your behalf!

Are you blessed?

Praying for you!
